Industrial production site

Located in the Grenoble area, the company has an industrial centre with state-of-the-art installations and industrial capacity for producing hydrogen stations.

A major site in Europe dedicated to hydrogen mobility

In 2023, HRS opened one of the biggest industrial sites in Europe dedicated to hydrogen mobility and designed to take production of HRS stations to a new level.

Set over 26,000 sqm in Champagnier (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region), the new 14,300 sqm production site features 10,000 sqm of workshops, 1000 sqm of social areas including a high-quality company restaurant and 3300 sqm of administrative buildings.

Industrial scale production capacity

To support the development of a rapidly growing sector, the new site will enable HRS to triple its production capacity. Each year, our production teams can assemble 180 hydrogen refueling stations.

A major step forward for the hydrogen industry.

Objective BREEAM Very Good!

Committed to accelerating the energy transition and conscious of the environmental impact of an industrial site and a new building, we are aiming to obtain BREEAM Very Good environmental certification for their recognised high environmental performance.

Prioritising the reduction of our environmental impact

In addition to installing solar panels on the roofs, we have incorporated large, glazed surfaces in the buildings to reduce the need for artificial lighting. To minimise light pollution, none of the lights point towards the sky.

The offices and social areas have green roofs, and over 20% of the site is set aside for natural spaces in open ground. We comply with the transparency and reflection standards for glazed surfaces in order to minimise bird strikes and have consulted with the French bird protection league (LPO) on the installation of nest boxes and hibernation sites.

For access to the site using low-carbon transport, HRS will install a hydrogen refueling station for use by the public and company employees, as well as charging points for electric vehicles in the staff car park.
The site will soon also be accessible via a "Chronovélo" path linking it to the centre of Grenoble.

Quality of working life

Prioritising the work environment for our teams

We want our employees to enjoy the best possible working conditions. That's why our site has a high-quality company restaurant serving locally sourced and seasonal dishes using ingredients from the company garden, as well as a fully equipped gym available to all employees.
