Element 2 and HRS accelerate the development of hydrogen mobility in the UK
As part of the creation of the pioneering hydrogen centre at Teesside Airport (Darlington, UK), HRS is supplying a hydrogen refueling station to Element 2.
The project involves the refueling of commercial vans, cars and airport support vehicles. This initiative will enrich the region’s refuelling infrastructure with a supply of green hydrogen, aiming for a substantial annual saving of 240,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
Following on this initial collaboration Element 2 has renewed its trust in HRS by ordering a HRS14 dual-pressure mobile hydrogen station to be installed at Glasgow, in Scotland. This solution, designed to be easily transportable, can be installed at a new site in just ten days. It is Scotland's first hydrogen station dedicated to heavy-duty mobility.
These achievements are part of Element 2's ambition to develop a network of 50 hydrogen stations across the UK within five years, and illustrate the convergence of both partners' commitments to mobility decarbonization.
